Carmen Davalos Camacho
Richmond Hill – Carmen Davalos Camacho, 84, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A native of Havana, Cuba, Mrs. Camacho had lived in the Savannah area since 1960 and was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Richmond Hill. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Camacho was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo F. Camacho, Sr. and a son, Dr. Tomas F. Camacho.
Surviving are four sons, Domingo F. Camacho, Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Savannah, Gus Camacho of Townsend, GA, Dr. George Camacho and his wife, Dolores, of Jacksonville, FL, and Dr. Albert Camacho of Richmond Hill; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. A Rosary Service will be held at 6:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2009, in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Mausoleum.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made in her memory to St. Anne's Catholic Church, 10550 Ford Ave., Richmond Hill, GA 31324.
